• Quote Recommendations: Personalize quote suggestions based on your selected path, mood, and goals

• Quote History: Display your recently viewed quotes in Profile screen
• Gamification: Track energy points, wisdom rank, and level progression
• Anti-Repetition: Ensure you don't see the same quotes repeatedly (10-quote buffer)

3.3 Service Improvement

• Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to improve app features
• Bug Fixes: Error logs to diagnose and fix technical issues
• Feature Popularity: Track which wisdom paths and features are most used

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google Sign-In (OAuth)

If you choose "Sign in with Google," we receive:

• Your email address (from Google)
• Your name (optional, from Google profile)
• A unique Google user ID (for authentication)

Our servers are hosted on Railway.app, which may process your data for infrastructure purposes.

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway's secure infrastructure.

5. Data Storage & Security

5.1 Where We Store Data

• Cloud Database: PostgreSQL on Railway (encrypted at rest)
• Local Storage: SQLite + AsyncStorage on your device (offline mode)

5.2 Security Measures

• Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS
• Password Security: Hashed using industry-standard bcrypt algorithm
• JWT Tokens: Secure session management with short-lived tokens
• Database Security: Connection pooling, parameterized queries to prevent SQL injection

5.3 Data Retention

• Active Accounts: Data retained as long as your account is active
• Inactive Accounts: After 3 years of inactivity, account data may be deleted
• Deleted Accounts: Data permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion request

6. Your Privacy Rights

6.1 Access Your Data

View your profile data, quote history, favorites, and energy points in the app's Profile screen.

6.2 Export Your Data

Request a complete copy of your data by emailing us at bettipb@gmail.com (response within 30 days).

6.3 Delete Your Data

Delete your account and all associated data:

• Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account
• Or email bettipb@gmail.com with "Delete Account" in subject line

6.4 Opt-Out of Personalization

While we don't track for ads, you can reset your quote history to disable personalized recommendations.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is rated "Everyone" and suitable for all ages. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent/guardian believes their child provided us with data, contact us immediately at bettipb@gmail.com.
